I have several of these in various states.  I typically search for nice solid pieces and repair the dents in the can.  You will see from the following pictures the different types that I have.  The process is to grind out all the old paint and make sure the can is solid.  The repair work is done with a metal product that sticks to the can and doesn't flake off or burn out.  As always, I try to minimize the thickness of the repair by pulling the dents out as much as possible.  Once the material dries, it is sanded down and skim coats applied as necessary to get a smooth finish.  This process is just like doing body work on a car.  They are not as perfect as originals, but this is the best the hobby has at the moment.  These pipes vary in price, so supersize the pictures by clicking on them and look at the detail.

Here is an original pipe that has had some repair to make it very nice.  It has a very nice smooth can and was developed from a very nice rust free starting point.  It is free of any dents.

A low cost alternative to the nearly unavailable original SL70 pipes.  These pipes are very well made and sound great.  If you want it a little quieter, just pack it with some fiberglass.

Honda SL100 / SL125

Ø      NOS Silver Rear Fender SL125 - Slightly scratched - $85

Ø   SL100 / SL125 K0/K1 - NOS Exhaust System - European.  This exhaust was offered on the SL100 and SL125 when sold in Europe.  It is in the style of the SL175 with the upswept muffler.  It is not the same muffler as the SL175 as it is smaller, and the heat shield is smaller as well.  I pieced this together over time and it includes the headpipe, muffler, clamp, and heat shield.  - Very Expensive - Inquire.
