Marbles Motors
Welcome to the Marbles Motors
website. As a matter of introduction, my name is Randy
Marble and here you will find information about my
motorcycle and car hobbies....or habits. Throughout
this website, just click on any of the pictures to take you
to more pictures or to enlarge the images.
This site started out as
a way to showcase some of my motorcycles and the
restorations that I have performed on them. From
there, it has grown to be a place to put a few extra parts &
motorcycles for sale and to showcase my restoration
services.
Please be aware that this
is a part time gig for me. I do the work on bikes on
the weekends and some evenings.
The recent motorcycle
craze started out as "I sure would like to have a little
SL70 like I had when I was 13", and that has turned into
quite a little collection and a lot of stacked up projects.
I owned several motorcycles over my 'formative' years and
I'm now re-living some of those memories. You will see
that I am a bit 'driven' when it comes to the quality of
what I turn out, but in the end, these bikes deserve the
attention and I have a good time learning and attempting to
do each activity a bit better than the time before.
At the top left is a menu
structure which will guide you through my website. You
will find Cars, Bikes and plenty of information that I've
shared on techniques and parts. I have found that
it is nearly impossible for the website to keep up with the
actual activities, so if there is something you don't see or
want to know about, just drop me a line.
I also have a section for
bikes that are gone from the stable as well as a place for
posting bikes for sale and parts for sale. I don't
want to turn this into a miniature auction house, but from
time to time, I have extra parts that I probably won't
need.....(famous last words).
I do perform Restorations
for others and you can find information about that under the
"Restoration Services" item on the menu.
You will see from the pictures
of my collection, that I like a very specific style of Honda's
and most of them SL's. And on the SL's, specifically
those years where the gas tanks have the
single 'sail' stripe across the top. I endeavor to
collect and restore at least one example of each of these, but my passion is still with the
SL70. I remember being 13 and the magazines touting
that Honda had finally made a real motorcycle in a small
package. I think I wanted one of those bikes more than
anything else ever. Ok....maybe not...but let me live
my dreams!
My history on bikes started
out at age 11 with an Alexander Reynolds Mini Bike that was
purchased at the local Western Auto store. It had a 3 1/2 HP Tecumseh
engine with a centrifugal clutch. From there to the Honda Z50 K1 and then the
SL70 (I got my drivers license on this one), and then up to
the all powerful 21.5 hp and noisy Kawasaki F7 175 2-stroke.
The motorcycle craze continued from there to many other
bikes. The Menu item titled "Old Pictures"
takes you through the early years.
Spending money on cars has
also been a problem and I've put an "Automobiles"
section on the menu. I always had a love for the Ford
Mustangs...Shelby's....Cougar Eliminators and the Pantera,
but now my blood gets boiling by driving my new Corvette Z06.
Enjoy
the website, and if
you want to contact me for anything please use e-mail first.

Stay tuned for many new and
exciting things as the website matures.
You Gotta love
a man that likes Honda Dirt Bikes.
