1972 Kawasaki G5 100

VIN# G5-21626

Yellow

I bought this bike after searching for a really long time.  I'm not sure how many of these were produced, but this is the only one that I discovered that wasn't trashed.

I had one of these bikes and it was my daily transportation to and from school from our place in the country.  I had the Red F7 to ride once I got home since it was 21.5 HP and wasn't legal for under 16 years of age.  My intentions are to restore this bike although it is a really nice rider bike as it is.  All of the body work can be saved with a new paint job, and it doesn't look to have been wrecked.  It has the typical surface rust on bolts etc, and the frame has its' share of normal scratches.

I had the clutch discs replaced and went through the carburetor and it runs out really well.  The one oddity on this bike is that the shift pattern is 5-up instead of the traditional 1dn-4up.

All I need is time !
